We feel so blessed that we were able to have such an amazing midwife deliver our two youngest children. Ashley was extremely knowledgeable and so generous with her time. We always felt that our wants and needs were her top priority. My husband and I learned so much. We absolutely loved the whole experience we had with her and look forward to working with her again during our next pregnancy. Ashley was everything we were looking for in a doula: helpful, knowledgeable, supportive, and calming. I don't believe I could have had a non-medicated birth and such a positive birthing experience without her assistance and guidance. 

We interviewed several Missoula doulas and we chose Ashley because she had a significant amount of experience, because she listened closely to our specific needs, and because she made up both feel very comfortable and at ease. In the months leading up to my birth, she met with us several times, helped me form my birth plan, and allowed me to borrow from her extensive library of pregnancy and childcare books. During my birth, she worked wonderfully with our nurse and doctor, supplementing their care in an extremely professional manner, while making certain that my needs and wishes were met as discussed. At several points throughout my labor, I could hear her calmly talking with the nurse and my husband about my needs, and I was so thankful that she was advocating for me and giving me the opportunity to fully focus on my labor instead of all the other details. She didn't leave my side from the moment we called her until my daughter was born eight hours later. 

Currently, I am pregnant with my second child and did not think twice before calling Ashley again. I am so excited and relieved that she will once again be with my family and at my side when I meet my second child. -Sarah Aswell
